Koda is Looking for a Home

AniMeals recently received an email from a nice woman who had taken in a puppy from a family who was having financial troubles and could no longer care for him. His name is Koda and he’ll be one year old on October 2nd. What a happy puppy he is! He’s smart too, and learned how to “sit” in one day. He’s starting to learn other commands too like “stay”, “come”, “leave it”, “off”, etc.

He is the perfect gentleman around other dogs, never playing too rough or biting too hard. He likes to rough house and would love another young dog to play with. He loves to chew on bones and eat treats.

Koda is very active and would love to find a family with another dog and kids. He is trying his best to learn his manners and to be a good dog. Koda needs someone who will continue to work on his behavior and to show him how a well behaved dog acts. He knows to go potty outside and loves to go for walks/runs. He is learning how to walk on a leash and is picking it up very quickly. Will you be patient and help this young, sweet boy learn his manners? He has the potential to be an EXCELLENT dog!

Large and In Charge

Neval

Are the Maine Coons not big enough for your liking? Try this guy! Meet Neval, a very large orange and white kitty who came to us last week. Neval is a middle aged gentleman who is looking for a new home and perhaps, ahem, someone who knows a little bit about exercising and healthy diets.

Neval IIINeval spends a lot of time relaxing in his (extra big) cat carrier. His ideal home would be a house with a lot of people to pet him and comfy places to take naps. Neval is great with kids too. Visit AniMeals today to see our 20+ lb. boy and give him some love!

Visit Us On The Weekend!

AniMeals is now open on Saturdays from 11am-4pm!! Stop by and visit us!

Hows this for size?

So the squished faces of the Persians don’t really do it for you, huh? How about two Maine Coons! Kitty Kitty and her brother Kato Kitty have been here for a month and are finally starting to adjust to shelter life. Kitty is now out of her kennel for most of the day and enjoys laying on the cold cement. She gets all silly when you enter her kennel, often times rolling on her back or turning in circles because she’s so excited. Kato still prefers the safety and comfort of his cat carrier but is venturing out more and more. He LOVES to be brushed and will sit quietly in your lap while you groom his coat.

These cats are drop dead gorgeous and are full of personality. If you’re looking to adopt two large, middle aged cats, Kato and Kitty Kitty would love to go home with you!

Kitten Love

Papa Bear and Duke

Our kittens play pretty hard here at AniMeals so it’s natural for them to sleep just as hard. They find comfort cuddling together, just like Papa Bear (who was adopted this week!) and Duke above. Check out Moxie and Boots’ sleeping position below. It’s hard to tell which is which!

Moxie, Boots and Duke as well as their friends Apple and Brutis are still looking for good homes. These four month old kittens are sweet as can be and would love to have families to call their own. Stop by and see them today!

Meet the Persians

We’ve got two cool new residents at AniMeals that we think are going to be very popular. Meet Elliott and Camille, two beautiful purebred Persians! They came to us from a nice woman who was having health issues and could no longer take care of her cats. Both are four years old and came from a Persian breeder in Colorado.

Elliott

Elliott is a handsome black and white guy with soft fur (and curly belly hair!) and a funny personality. He’s incredibly friendly and is extremely observant — always interested in the hussle and bussle of the AniMeals office. He likes being brushed and will sit patiently while you do so. Taking care of his long fur will be easy!

Camille

Camille is the biggest sweetheart you’ll ever meet. She knows her name and will come to you and chat when you enter her kennel. She also enjoys being brushed and likes to sit on your lap and just be close to you. Don’t let her fluff fool you, she’s only five and a half pounds!

We’ve been cleaning up their eyes every day since they arrived at AniMeals and the tear stains seem to be improving. With a little more work they’re going to be even better looking. Since they’ve lived together their whole lives, Elliott and Camille would like to find a nice, quiet home together. Stop by AniMeals today and say hi to these cute little fluff balls!

AniMeals’ Long Time Residents

Fifi and Mrs. Arbunkle Keep Watch

Here at AniMeals, we allow some of our long time residents to stretch their legs and wander around our warehouse. Being confined to a kennel for months at a time can take it’s toll on an animal. Fifi, Mrs. Arbunkle, Beverly, and Madonna are three incredibly sweet female cats who haven’t seen a proper home in a very long time. They’re often over looked but they deserve love too.

If you’ve ever considered adopting a shelter animal before, now is the time. Please take a look at these animals who have gone without homes for way to long.
