Hoping and watching as people walk by
Patiently waiting her turn
Wearing a smile as she sits all alone
Wishing the tears didn’t burn
Where she is now is better than before
That she knows for a fact
She holds onto the hope of finding a home
And receiving a love to give back
She knows that somewhere there is a person
Waiting for just the right time
To complete her life and love her forever
And never change their mind
Until that day when she gets her chance
