Little Johnny Force – “A Force to be reckoned with”

You may have seen this little guy in our AniMeals Healing Hearts Program E-Newsletter.  He was brought to AniMeals No-Kill Adoption Center and Animal Food Bank by a good samaritan approximately a week ago.  His name is John Force (aka Little Johnny), named after the world-famous drag car car driver.  He was born with his back legs curled and couldn’t walk, due to his position in his mother’s womb.  The leg work began yesterday at the veterinary clinic to straighten his legs.  First step is putting his back legs in casts.  We are just glad he was brought to us when he was, because who knows what kind of pain would result from his bones hardening and thickening in their deformed state as he grows.  So, his casts are now on, and he is still in the process of getting used to it.  He will go back to the vet on Monday for a follow-up appointment.  We are all rooting for this little guy to have a smooth, pain-free transition from scooting to walking.  Being just a few weeks old, we are all quite optimistic about his procedures.  Unfortunately, his medical expenses continue to incur as the procedure continues.  We would not be able to help Little Johnny without your compassion and gracious donations.  Thank you so much for everything you are doing to support AniMeals and our Healing Hearts Program, as we exist and are able to save lives because of each of YOU!  Thank you so much.  Updates will be posted on AniMeals Facebook.  www.facebook.com/animeals

  1. Little Johnny, you are in my thoughts and prayers throughout the day and night. You have the kitty smile of an angel and the spirit of a lion. You are one of God’s special one’s and I know you will recover fully. A kiss on your forehead and scratch under the chin…sweet dreams kitty-face. I hope to meet you soon.
